Phi Alpha Theta Conference Registration


 

We hope that you can join us for the Phi Alpha Theta Undergraduate Research Conference on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.  We invite you to join us and present your work at Georgia Tech. Presentations are 20 minutes maximum and can consist of paper readings or slide presentations. 

If you would like to present your work, ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS are due Friday, February 16, 2018 by 5:00 PM. Participants who want their papers considered for prizes must submit final versions of their papers carla.gerona [at] hsoc.gatech.edu (via email to Dr. Carla Gerona) by Friday, March 9, 2018.  Students must be members of Phi Alpha Theta to be eligible for prizes.  Students will be notified of their acceptance via email.  Please go to the abstract submission website for more information.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Douglas Flamming, Professor of History at Georgia Tech, who will give a talk entitled "Red, 'Pink Gold,' and Blue: Southern Shrimpers vs. Soviet Shrimpers in the Gulf of Mexico, 1945-1975."

To participate in the conference as a presenter or an attendee, you must register online.  Please complete the conference registration form below and select your method of payment.  If you would like to present a paper, please also complete the abstract submission form.  We look forward to seeing you in April!

The conference will be held in the Hall Building on Georgia Tech's campus.  Parking is available in visitor lots.  Directions are available at https://hsoc.gatech.edu/directions.  The conference registration cost is $25.00, which includes breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and a voucher for parking.  REGISTRATION CAN BE PAID IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
