Professor of History has an International Impact

The Balfour Declaration, which the British government issued on November 2, 1917, stated that Britain “would view with favor the establishment of a home for the Jewish people in Palestine,” so long as it did not prejudice the rights of non-Jewish people living there.

Dr. Schneer's book on the Declaration was published by presses in the US, UK, Canada, and Turkey.  Print and media outlets interviewed Professor Schneer, while newspapers (e.g., the New York Times and the Washington Post) and journals all over the world reviewed his book. Professor Schneer lectured about it dozens of times in the US, UK, Israel, and France.

In recent months he has conducted numerous radio, film, and print interviews, and more are in the offing.  He has taken part (or soon will) in scholarly conferences about the Declaration in the US and UK, and delivered the keynote address at a Princeton conference dedicated to the Declaration.   The climax will come on November 2, 2017, the precise centenary of the Declaration, when he delivers a lecture in London to the British Academy, which is the most prestigious scholarly body in Great Britain.
