The School of History and Sociology is collaborating with the Black Feminist Think Tank to present a spring 2017 colloquium series on race and gender.
The BLACK FEMINIST THINK TANK was founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2015. BFTT creates programs that support and amplify the work of Black feminists. As a think tank we nurture and provide access to thinking that confronts the contemporary challenges we face: the militarization and privatization of all aspects of daily life; escalating violence against peoples of color around the world; the expansion of settler colonial borders; and the contraction of intellectual freedom.
The spring 2017 Race and Gender Colloquium Series will provide Georgia Tech and the greater Atlanta community with an opportunity to understand and debate these critical issues.
