The Gig Economy: Precarious Work and Predatory Platforms

The School of History and Sociology welcomes Juliet Schor, professor of sociology at Boston College, on Monday, April 3, 2023. Schor will speak on the topic “The Gig Economy: Precarious Work and Predatory Platforms” followed by a Q&A session. Anyone in the Georgia Tech community having an interest in the topics of consumer society and culture, the new sharing economy, working hours and lifestyles, and sustainability is encouraged to attend.
