The program's focus on global issues related to the origin and impact of technology and science is also distinctive, providing students with the critical tools needed to understand the development of the modern world.

The masters degree in the History and Sociology of Technology and Science can be a jumping-off point for further professional training in law, business, or public policy and is an asset to those seeking careers in museums, historical agencies, and public service organizations.

This interdisciplinary degree program trains students in advanced scholarly research on the historical, social, and cultural dimensions of science and technology, past and present.  Students choose to concentrate in one of two disciplines.
