Downwind from Hiroshima: History, Technology, and the Costs of Peace in the Nuclear Age

Robert Jacobs, professor at the Hiroshima Peace Institute and the Graduate School of Peace Studies of Hiroshima City University, will give a talk on the worldwide legacy of nuclear testing and radiation exposure. His research highlights how communities around the world have lived with the consequences of nuclear weapons development, from health effects to cultural impacts, and how these histories inform contemporary debates about nuclear policy.
