Explore Endless Opportunities with the HTS Major
HTS students benefit from diverse experiences beyond the classroom:
- Internships: Gain practical experience with organizations such as the Carter Center, the Atlanta History Center, or the Center for Civil and Human Rights. Students can also explore opportunities with local non-profits, government agencies, and businesses to match their career goals and interests.
- Global Experiences: Embark on study abroad programs in exciting destinations like Asia, Europe, or Latin America. Dive into international internships and research opportunities that broaden your global perspective and enhance your cross-cultural skills.
- Undergraduate Research: Explore topics like media influence on health, social media effects, or historical technological advancements. Students can also tailor their research to other areas of interest.
Our School offers the Research Option and International Plan degree designators, allowing students to dive deeply into research or enhance their global skills. These achievements are noted on their diploma. HTS students also have access to the President's Undergraduate Research Award for research funding and conference travel.
