HSOC Workshop on the Global Meat Industry and its Implications

The School of History and Sociology is hosting a workshop on the implications of the global meat industry. The event will be Thursday, March 9th from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in the Hall Building, room 102. Speakers include:
- Philip Howard (Michigan State University)- “Corporate Concentration in the Meat Industry”
- Conner Bailey (Auburn University)- “Global Seafood Production”
- Mindi Schneider (Institute of Social Studies, The Hague)- “Industrial Pork Production in China”
- Elizabeth Ransom (University of Richmond)- Moderator
The event is free and open to the public. Sponsors include the School of History and Sociology, the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems, and the Serve • Learn • Sustain FEWS (Food, Energy, and Water Systems) Fellows Program.
